IMAA knows the language of housing is often confusing for those recently arrived in the United States. IMAA provides information and teaches skills related to stable housing to refugee/asylee families/individuals new to the United States

IMAA staff assists refugee and asylee families to obtain stable housing by:

Helping clients locate available housing
Contacting the landlord/manager on behalf of the client
Working with the client to apply for any housing assistance that may be available

IMAA is also a member of Olmsted County Homeless Community Network.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is an international organization that utilizes volunteers to build homes that are sold at a reduced cost to low-income individuals. New homeowners are expected to contribute 300-500 hours of their own time building the homes with the assistance of trained professionals. Homeowners must meet eligibility requirements established by Habitat for Humanity.
