Immigration Services

IMAA assists refugees and asylees to navigate the process of permanent residency, citizenship and other immigration procedures. The process of adjusting one’s immigration status can be complex and overwhelming.

Immigration/Legal Services

To serve eligible low-income individuals in need of immigration legal services, IMAA collaborates with Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS). A SMRLS paralegal is on site at IMAA offices and an immigration attorney from SMRLS oversees the services provided.

More information on SMRLS services can be found by visiting their website.

SMRLS CASE INTAKE LINE: (888) 575-2954 (toll free, call between 9:00am – Noon & 1:00pm – 3:30pm Monday through Friday)

To access immigration forms, please go to the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services Website: http://uscis.gov, then click on ‘Forms’ on the top tool bar.

Passport/Immigration Photographs

IMAA takes low cost photographs required for immigration and naturalization applications, as well as photographs for U.S passport applications. For more information or an appointment call (507) 289-5960 ext. 100.
